Maso Giannino is a beautiful detached lodge, located on the edge of the forest just above the village of Pejo Paese at 1750 meters above sea level. Its prime location allows for beautiful sunrises, sunsets and the splendid colors of foliage in the heart of the Stelvio National Park.

The farm is located in the vicinity of Covel Lake, a small body of water in the plain of the same name, embraced by the surrounding mountains.

The chalet has two levels and a loft. On the ground floor are the two bedrooms, a double room and a quad room with two bunk beds and a bathroom.
The second floor, which is accessed directly from the front door, holds the heart of the farmhouse, which will leave you speechless thanks to its brightness conferred by the windows and the height of the ceiling, a large and airy space, ideal for sharing time together and enjoying the pleasant atmosphere of the chalet. Here are the kitchen and living area, with the wonderful bright green tiled stove, a typical piece of furniture in mountain homes, and the bathroom.

A secure wooden staircase leads to the loft, an ideal relaxation area for reading a good book and listening to relaxing music after a busy day in the mountains of the Pejo Valley. The loft houses a sofa bed, becoming a comfortable shelter for two more people if needed, thus reaching the maximum capacity (8 people) for a comfortable vacation that provides coziness for all guests.

Outside, the large private lawn and barbecue await you for a leisurely lunch with friends, enjoying the view of the Peio Valley and the surrounding mountains.

In the immediate vicinity of the farm it is possible to park your car in a lay-by.

In the morning and at dusk it will not be unusual to spot some deer or roe deer in the vicinity of the chalet.

Maso Giannino is about 2 km from the picturesque town of Pejo Paese. A visit to the region’s last dairy turnery, where milk from cows and goats is still processed and dairy products can be purchased, is a must. Also very interesting is the War Museum custodian of numerous testimonies and historical artifacts of World War I fought in the mountains of Val di Sole and and Val di Pejo.

If you have not been lucky with animal sightings directly from the farm, a short drive away is theWildlife Area where you can see deer and roe deer up close; if you prefer to relax and stay warm, the Pejo Spa will definitely be a viable alternative on a rainy day….

Needless to say, Maso Giannino enjoys a great location! Go out in hiking boots to explore the surrounding area, there are several trekking itineraries and excursions, on foot and by mountain bike, which will allow you to reach enchanting places such as Rifugio Scoiattolo, Malga Saline and Rifugio Doss dei Cembri, in the presence of peaks that touch 4,000 meters in altitude.
